Pinnacle at Tarpon River
Dirt is moving all over the place in Fort Lauderdale. A while back I wrote a post about Fort Lauderdale infill development projects. Today I'm going to tell you about the latest project that's broken ground, Pinnacle at Tarpon River. The parcel of land that Pinnacle at Tarpon River is set to sit upon is 57,399. That's big, that's really big when you consider the location! It's tough to assemble a parcel of land that size in Downtown Fort Lauderdale right now. The site address is 805 SE 3rd Avenue. If you're driving down 3rd you can't miss it, I promise!
So what type of building is Pinnacle at Tarpon River? It's another complex not offering units for sale, so that's a bummer. However, it will be affordable rental housing. Look I'm a blue collar guy at heart. While I love to look at (and I really love to sell) the high dollar properties, you can't turn Fort Lauderdale into someplace nobody can afford to live in. Affordable housing needs to exits, needs to be preserved, and likely needs to be expanded. Something interesting in this complex is that only a portion will be affordable housing, and a portion will be market rate rentals.
The project is approved for 112 units and set to rise 10 stories.
